KWAPONG RIOT: Police re-arrest cell breakers

Two suspects in connection with a murder case at Kwapong have been re-arrested by the police at their hideout in an unknown nearby village.

The two whose names were immediately not known had taken to their heels after the youth of Kwapong attacked the police station and in the process vandalized the place and destroyed a police vehicle.

They also broke into the cells and brought out one Efo Kojo and stoned him to death last Friday evening.

Efo Kojo, believed to be a Togolese herbalist, had stabbed his bosom friend, Frimpong Donkor, 22, to death for an unknown reason.

He was arrested by the police after a taxi driver lodged a complaint with police.

ACP Patrick Adusei Sarpong, Deputy Brong Ahafo Regional Police Commander, who disclosed this Fiifi Banson on Anopa Kasapa on Kasapa 102.3 FM Monday said the suspects are currently in the cells of a nearby police station.

The two, he said, are believed to be the brains behind the death of a person whose identity he did not disclose.
