Kwamena Ahwoi downs ‘FreePress’…He’s to collect 7 million cedis

An Accra High Court last Friday awarded 6 million cedis as damages against the publishers and editor of the Free Press for libeling Mr Kwamena Ahwoi, Minister of Local Government and Rural Development. The court presided over by Mr Justice P.K. Owusu-Sekyere, also awarded one million cedis as cost against the Free Press and ordered the paper to retract its front page story with the same prominence.
