Kwamang citizens in UK support Laboratory Project

Kwamang (Ash), Aug. 6, GNA – Citizens of Kwamang in the Sekyere West District based in the United Kingdom (UK) have presented building materials valued at more than 40 million cedis towards the completion of a medical laboratory block for the Kwamang Health Centre.

The materials included plywood, floor tiles, cement, louver blades and frames, paint, mosquito netting and electrical fittings. Mr Tom Boamah and Mrs Agartha Asiamah-Nyannor, representatives of the group, made the presentation on its behalf to Barima Abayie Ntori-Nimpah II, Omanhene of Kwamang Traditional Area.

They expressed the hope that the successful completion of the project would end the situation where patients in the area travelled long distances to Asante-Mampong for laboratory tests.

Barima Ntori-Nimpa expressed the appreciation of the Traditional Council for the donation and appealed to other citizens to emulate the UK group.

The community has spent more than 200 million cedis from its own resources on the construction of a theatre, laboratory and admission wards for the centre.
