Kwakwaduam Family Outreach and Networking Program

Kwakwaduam Association of NY – 2013 Family Outreach and Networking Program

The Kwakwaduam Association of New York has celebrated its 2013 Annual Family Outreach program at the Glen Island Park in Yonkers New York over the weekend of July 20th. The Outreach offered an opportunity for families to get-together, network and have fun bringing the children who otherwise will not get to know each other.

The Okuapeman Fekuw and the First Ghana Presbyterian Church were in attendance and made for a beautiful gathering.

In the games that were played, hard as the Kwakwaduam soccer team led by Kwabena Asante tried, they were beaten by the more youthful Presbyterian Church side by a lone goal. Because of high winds, the table tennis competition could not be competitive as planned but Kwakwaduam was expected to have won as it had done over the years by their team led by Mr Asamoah and Dr. Aniapam Boafo Through the networking and partnership with the World Vision, several items of new clothing were distributed to the participants.

The Kwakwaduam cuisine provided by Emilia Okoampah’s Tasty Buds was cultural and delicious, the music infectious and it was indeed a day well spent.
