Kwahu West MCE urges people to bury their political differences

Apradang (E/R), July 29, GNA – The Kwahu West Municipal Chief Executive, Mr Alex Somoah Obeng, on Wednesday urged people in the municipality to put last year’s general elections behind them and unite as one people and support the government to implement its development agenda.

He said the government’s development program and projects being initiated would not benefit supporters of the ruling government alone. Mr Obeng was speaking at separate durbars at Ampeha, Yakokor and Apradang as part of his familiarization tour to communities in the municipality.

He appealed to chiefs and unit committee members to supervise the mass cocoa spraying exercise to check diversion of the chemicals as well as discrimination in the spraying.

The chiefs said they would co-operate and support the government in its development programmes and appealed to the assembly to rehabilitate classroom blocks, feeder roads and also to extend electricity to the communities. 29 July 09
