Kwahu South DCE denies Chronicle newspaper story

Mpraeso, Jan. 17, GNA – Mr Joseph Omari, Kwahu South District Chief Executive(DCE), has denied recent media reports suggesting that he had lied to the chiefs and people of six farming communities over a road construction project in the area.

An Accra based newspaper in its Tuesday, January 10 edition published an article with the headline “Chiefs want Kwahu South DCE sacked”.

The article suggested among other things that the chiefs and people of six farming communities namely Amanfrom, Nketepa, Asempa, Nsoboni, New Oworobon and Okraajei on the eve of last Christmas poured onto the streets to register their displeasure over the state of development in the area especially the bad nature of roads.

According to the article, the chiefs blamed the DCE of the area for claiming in a book entitled the “The Better Ghana Agenda in Action” ‘
