Kwahu South approves of President Nominee

Mpraeso, April 21, GNA – The Kwahu South District Assembly on Tuesday confirmed Mr Joseph Omare as the District Chief Executive (DCE) for the area. At an emergency meeting held at Mpraeso, all the 25 assembly members present voted for him. Mr Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo, Eastern Regional Minister, advised the new DCE to be humble and submissive and co-operate with the assembly members and the assembly staff to enhance development in the district. He appealed to him to involve traditional authorities in the development agenda of the district. Mr Kwame Ofosu Kissi, Presiding Member of the assembly, congratulated the DCE and promised to co-operate with him to develop the district.

He commended the assembly members for the matured manner they went about the elections. Mr Seth Acheampong, Member of Parliament for the area, assured the new DCE that he would work hand in hand with him to ensure that the area gets its fair share of the national cake. Mr Omare thanked the assembly members for given him the nod and said he would co-operate with all stakeholders to develop the district. 21 April 09
