Kwahu South and East districts receive exercise books

Mpraeso, March, 10, GNA – The Kwahu South and Kwahu East districts have received 38,180 exercise books out of the expected 317,000 for distribution to basic school children in the two districts. The two districts are also expecting 198,000 Note One exercise books for distribution to primary three to Junior High School pupils in the public basic schools as part of the government’s free exercise books to basic school children programme. The District Director of Education for the two districts, Mr Abraham Adjetey Sowah, told the GNA that all the eleven Senior High Schools (SHS) in the two districts were facing classroom accommodation problems for admission of first year students for the next academic year due to the four-year SHS programme. He appealed for the construction of additional classroom blocks for all the schools to enable them to admit the first year students in October.
