Kwahu Govt Hospital Receives Donation

As part of its contribution to the upliftment of the rural folks and its social responsibilities, GhanaWaves Radio (www.ghanawaves.com the internet radio for Ghanaians abroad) has made a donation of Three (3) Hundred pieces of bed sheets to the Kwahu Government Hospital at Atibie in the Eastern Region.

Making the donation worth over Thirty Million Cedis (¢30,000,000) the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of GhanaWaves Radio, Mr. William Kwadwo Wiafe, made it known that he once paid a visit to a patient at the hospital and upon seeing the deplorable state the hospital bed sheets were in, he discussed with his office and that yielded the donation.

He said he and his office intend helping the hospital in other areas possible in the next visit which is very soon.

The District Health Director in charge of the hospital Dr. Joseph Opare thanked the Management of GhanaWaves Radio for the gesture and promised that the items would be put to good use and like Oliver Twist, he asked for more.

Dr Opare stated that the Kwahu Government hospital lacks several hospital amenities which deters personnel from giving excellent treatment to patients.

The District Chief Executive (DCE) Kwahu South District, Nana Anwona Asante who graced the occasion also thanked GhanaWaves Radio and appealed to the Government, NGO’s, Individuals and Groups who are capable to emulate the gesture.
