Kwahu East District Assembly distribute desks to schools

The Kwahu East District Assembly, has distributed 1,000 dual desks to 27 basic and second cycle schools in the area.

The desks that worth GH¢1,000,000.00 were purchased with money from the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFUND).

Some of the beneficiary schools include Semboa District Assembly (DA) Primary, Hyewohoden DA Primary, Abetifi Presbyterian Primary, Kwahu Tafo Islamic Primary, Asempana eye DA Primary, Abetifi Presbyterian Senior High School and Kwahu Tafo Senior High School.

Mr Samuel Asamoah, the District Chief Executive, presented the furniture to the District Directorate of Education for distribution to the beneficiary schools on Wednesday.

He said the Government would continue to provide the needed infrastructure, furniture, school uniforms, books and other educational logistics to enhance teaching and learning in the schools.

Mr Asamoah advised teachers in the district to improve upon their performances to help promote education in the district.

Receiving the furniture, the District Directorate of Education, Nana Baffour Awuah, thanked the assembly for the gesture.**
