Kwabre assembly Ex-workers association to be inaugurated

Mamponteng (Ash), April 27, GNA- The Kwabre District Assembly’s Ex-Workers Association would be inaugurated in Kumasi on May 1. The association formed in December 2005, is aimed at catering for the welfare of members and also initiate development activities to support the progress of the assembly.

Speaking to newsmen at Mamponteng on Saturday, Mr Daniel Nkrumah, chairman of the association, said it has a membership of 28 with some on transfer to other districts, while others have retired or have entered into private business life.

He said the association plans to link with personnel in other districts for the promotion of their welfare and also organise educational programmes to prepare them for pension.
