Kusasi community chief installed

Bolgatanga, March 25, GNA – Mallam Musah Atirago, a retired worker of Volta River Authority, has been installed chief of the Kusasi community in Bolgatanga.

Bolga-Naba Martin Abilba III who performed the installation ceremony at Bolgatanga, asked the new chief to unite his people for the development of the community.

He also advised the people to be law abiding and to support their new chief to ensure their progress.

The Upper East Regional minister Mr Mahami Salifu, expressed satisfaction that the community had a new leader to protect the interest of the people.

He advised the people to be one another’s keeper and to unite with other ethnic groups in the area to ensure peace and stability needed for development.

Mallam Atirago thanked the people for making him chief and gave the assurance that he would work hard to unite them towards the development of the community.

He appealed to the people to participate in the on-going voters registeration exercise to enable them to vote in the forthcoming elections.
