Kumawu NPP chairman suspended for threatening Akufo-Addo

The New Patriotic Party Chairman of Kumawu constituency Joseph Danso has been suspended by the party’s regional disciplinary Committee.

The committee chaired by Dr. Amoako Tuffour suspended Mr. Danso on Saturday for threatening President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo over the nomination of a District Chief Executive.

He was given the opportunity to apologize when he appeared before the committee but refused.

However, reports gathered by Starr News indicate that Mr. Danso rather clandestinely met the President to ask for forgiveness.

A source who spoke to Starr News also stated that a planned demonstration against the DCE of Kumawu was foiled by the party.
