Kumasi Zongo Police take delivery of motorbikes

The Kumasi Zongo District Police Command has been presented with three motorbikes to boost its patrol work and fight crime.

These were a donation by Varun Ghana Limited, an Indian Company, with branches in Ghana, Dubai and the United States (US).

Mr. Arun Kalwani, the Managing Director, said it was their contribution towards efforts at equipping the police with the needed logistics to perform.

He pledged continued support, pointing out that, without adequate security, law and order “nothing happens”.

He said he was confident that the police would find the bikes useful.

Superintendent Nana Nyamekye Adane-Ameyaw, the District Commander, said they were grateful for the gesture and promised to ensure that these were properly maintained.

He called on the people to be bold and provide the police with useful leads to arrest and prosecute criminals.

They should also become more alert, especially as the Christmas festival neared.
