Manager of Alliance Francaise, has stated that it was high time Ghana took serious measures to reform French education. He said the nation was strategically located in the midst of francophone countries and that one way the economy could be further developed was to restructure French education to make the language interesting and well patronized at all levels of the educational ladder. This, he noted, could enable Ghana to produce substantial number of French graduates to promote trade, cultural cohesion and social harmony between the surrounding countries.
Mr Bosco was speaking at the graduation ceremony for some 43 students who had completed a six-month beginners’ course in French at the Alliance Francaise in Kumasi.
The Centre Manager announced that his outfit had introduced business courses to give students more opportunities on the job market after completing their courses. He further hinted that the centre had lined up various French/African cultural programmes for this year to allow residents of the Kumasi metropolis to appreciate their cultural heritage.
