Kumasi Anglican Diocese creates two new Archdeaconries

Kumasi, Oct.4, GNA-The Kumasi Diocese of the Anglican church has created two new Archdeaconries in Kumasi Metropolis to promote efficient administration, evangelisation and pastoral services.

They are the Manhyia and Suntreso Archdeaconries. The creation of the Archdeaconries became necessary as a result of the rapid expansion and growth of the church and it’s objective intensify the spread of the Christian faith to mankind. The Suntreso Arcdeaconry, which has five parishes under its jurisdiction, would be officially inaugurated on Sunday, October 9 at the Saint Paul’s Anglican Church by the Right Reverend Daniel Yinka-Sarfo, the Kumasi Bishop and also install Venerable George Boadu-Boateng as the first Archdeacon.

The parishes are North Suntreso Saint Paul’s, Ohwimase Saint Francis, the Armed Forces Saint Christopher Church at the barracks, the Kumasi Asokwa All Saints Church and Tepa Saint Paul’s in the Ahafo Ano North district.

According to Venerable Bodu-Boateng, the rapid growth of the Anglican and other Christian faith is a manifestation of the intensification of evangelism and prayers and called on Christians to continue to pray unceasingly and also submit themselves to Christ.
