Kukua roads are bad-Chief

The chief and people of Kukua, a farming community near Akroabo in the Suhum Municipality, at the weekend appealed to the Ghana Highway Authority (GHA) to repair their worse roads.

Speaking to journalists, Nana Samuel Asare, Odikro of Kukua said the people, mostly farmers in the town and surrounding villages had persistently requested to have the roads reshaped, but this had not been heeded to.

He pointed out that the Kukua – Koransan and Kukua – Akroabo – Amanhyia roads are the worse in the area.

According to him, the Mass Transport Service bus has stopped plying the area due to the worse nature of the roads.

Nana Asare said if GHA does not initiate immediate steps to repair the roads, farmers in the area would encounter economic difficulties, because they cannot transport their produce to the buying centres.
