Kufuor Will Retain Presidency – Kan Dapaah

Tepa-Ashanti — THE MINISTER for Communications, Mr. Albert Kan Dapaah has stated that there is every indication that President Kufuor would retain the presidency, having won the election already.

“God has already elected J.A. Kufuor in the Tuesday election,” he said.

According to the Minister, majority of Ghanaians had seen the good works of the Kufuor administration within four years, so would not hesitate to vote for him again.

The Minister who made this observation at Tepa in the Ahafo Ano North district of Ashanti at the commissioning of a telephone exchange project by Ghana Telecom, urged Ghanaians to refrain from any acts of violence that could destroy the peaceful atmosphere the country was enjoying.

“Election is not violence, so don’t allow politics to destroy the country,” he advised. Kan Dapaah urged Ghanaians to as well guard against tribal and religious divisions.

Reminding Ghanaians of the negative effects of violence as evidenced in countries like La Cote d’Ivoire and Liberia, he advised that they be wise enough not to be influenced into engaging in any form of violence.

He used the occasion to advice the public on the dangers of the deadly HIV/AIDS and the need to show compassion to those affected by the virus.
