Kufuor Warns Trouble Makers

The President, Mr John Agyekum Kufuor has warned those who want to create chaos in the country by their utterances to desist from their subversive remarks because the government would exercise its duty to maintain law and order in the run up to the December elections.

President Kufuor sounded the warning when he addressed a durbar of chiefs and people of Upper Manya at Asesewa as part of activities of his tour of the Eastern Region. He reminded Ghanaians that the power is in the hands of the people and that anybody who wanted power should convince the people that the power would be properly used for their good instead of using threats to snatch the power.

The President warned elements in the NDC who resort to insults in their campaign that if they don?t have any good message for the people they better keep their mouths shut. He pointed out that everybody has a power to vote and cautioned that this power must be protected to prevent those who want to intimidate them to deprive them of their rights.
