Kufuor meets Togolese President

Accra, Aug. 26, GNA – Former President John Agyekum Kufuor on Tuesday paid a courtesy call on the visiting Togolese President, Faure Essozimna Gnassingbe, in Accra.

A statement issued by Mr Frank Agyekum, Press Secretary in the Office of the former President, said the two held talks of mutual benefit at the M-Plaza hotel, where President Gnassingbe was staying. The Togolese President arrived in Accra on Tuesday for a two-day visit to Ghana, during which he will hold talks with President John Evans Atta Mills and government officials, and visit places of interest including Tema and Akosombo.

Former President Kufuor was accompanied by Mr Akwasi Osei-Adjei, former Minister of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration and NEPAD.
