Kufuor meets Japanese Ambassador

Accra, May 20, GNA – President John Agyekum Kufuor on Tuesday granted audience to the Japanese Ambassador to the United Nations Office in Vienna, Mr Yukiya Amano, at the Castle, Osu.

He was in the country to help to strengthen co-operation between Ghana and his country in the field of nuclear energy. President Kufuor noted the strong bond of friendship between Ghana and Japan, saying that, the timing of the visit was important as it coincided with the anniversary to mark the death of Dr Noguchi, the Japanese, who had left a big mark in the country. The Ambassador said they were eager to share their experience in the nuclear energy technology to boost the country’s power generation mix.
