Kufuor doesn’t trust Akufo-Addo’s competence – Kofi Adams

The National Organiser of the ruling National Democratic Congress Kofi Adams has said former President John Kufuor is suspicious of the competence of the NPP flagbearer Nana Akufo-Addo.

According to him, some actions and utterances of Mr. Kufuor are suggestive of the fact that he is not convinced about the leadership abilities of his fellow party member.

Addressing a gathering of the Tertiary Education Institution Network (TEIN) of the NDC in Cape Coast Monday, Mr. Adams said the ex-president moved Akufo-Addo from the attorney general ministry during his tenure due to incompetence.

“President Kufuor himself, when you listen to some speeches he gave in 2007 and even subsequent actions tells you that he did not see Nana Addo as haven the qualities and capabilities to wear the shoe he is leaving as president.

“He knew in his mind clearly that Nana Addo cannot do it. Any other action after that is just to save face,” he state.

Meanwhile, President John Mahama is also billed to address the students at the programme. Is expected to update the students on the various projects being embarked upon by his government.
