Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Kudus delivered one of the moments of the night with a spectacular goal, but it was not enough to save Tottenham Hotspur from a 2–1 defeat to Fulham on Saturday night.
Spurs endured a disastrous start, conceding twice in the early stages of the first half as Fulham punished defensive lapses and took control of the contest. The London derby looked to be slipping away from Thomas Frank’s side until Kudus produced a moment of brilliance after the break.
The 24-year-old picked his spot beautifully, unleashing a sensational strike from distance to drag Spurs back into the game, a goal that left the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium roaring despite the team’s struggles.
The Ghanaian has now been directly involved in six Premier League goals this season, second only to Richarlison, who has seven.
But despite Kudus’ heroics, Spurs could not find an equaliser. Fulham absorbed the pressure in the closing stages, holding on to seal all three points.
For Tottenham, the defeat raises further questions about consistency. For Kudus, it reinforces his status as one of the club’s brightest performers this campaign.
