“Kudus Is Class” – Spurs’ Brennan Johnson Hails Ghana Star’s Impact at Tottenham

Tottenham Hotspur forward Brennan Johnson has showered praise on new signing Mohammed Kudus, describing the Ghanaian playmaker as a “really nice guy” and a top-quality addition to the squad.

Kudus, who joined Spurs this summer following a stellar campaign with West Ham United, has already caught the eye of his new teammates with his quick adaptation, flair, and professionalism.

“I’ve been really impressed with him since he came in,” Johnson said in an interview with football journalist Alasdair Gold. “Really nice guy as well.”

The former Ajax and West Ham midfielder’s arrival comes at a crucial time for Tottenham, as the North London side prepares for a return to the UEFA Champions League and seeks to challenge across domestic and European competitions.

Reflecting on the challenges of the previous season, Johnson pointed to the importance of strengthening the squad.
“Last season there were quite a few games where I don’t think we even had 11 first-team players,” he admitted.
“Getting as much quality as we can is important and it’s what we need because we are in the Champions League and want to go far in all competitions.”

Kudus’ versatility, capable of operating in midfield, on the wing, or as a forward offers managers a range of tactical options, and Johnson believes his presence could be pivotal.

“It wasn’t just a one-off thing. We want to be in the Champions League every year. We need the quality and depth in the squad,” Johnson said.
“We are getting there. Hopefully we can stay fit this season and it gives us the best chance to compete in all competitions.”

Mohammed Kudus scored 14 goals and provided six assists for West Ham last season, and was named the club’s Players’ Player of the Year. His high-profile move to Spurs was met with excitement among fans who see him as one of Africa’s brightest footballing talents.

Now, with Champions League football on the horizon and a resurgent Tottenham squad around him, Kudus is already proving he belongs among the elite.
