Kromoasi embark on 40m two-year programme

The chief and inhabitants of Kromoasi in the Bosomtwe-Atwima-Kwanwoma district of Ashanti have started implementing a number of projects under their two-year development programme. Projects under the programme, estimated at 40 million cedis, include the construction of two additional classrooms for the localJunior Secondary School (JSS). Nana Attah Sah Okogyeabour, Kromoasihene, told newsmen when he inspected progress of work on some of the projects at Kromoasi on Saturday. Nana Okogyeabour said already the community has mobilisedand spent over 10 million cedis on the projects.Work on a primary school block is at the foundation stage while a library project is at the flow level. Oheneba Kyem Kwame said projects under the programme are being funded through levies of 10,000 cedis a man and 5,000 cedis a woman for non-resident citizens, while residents are contributing 2,000 cedis a man and 1,000 cedis a woman, in addition to providing communal labour.
