Krobohene laid to rest

Krobo (Ash), Oct. 28, GNA – Nana Barima Appiah Pransi, the late chief of Krobo near Asante Mampong, was buried at the weekend at the Krobo Royal cemetery.

Nana Pransi, 79, who died on July 10, reigned for over 30 years and was the nephew of Mr Francis Kwarteng, former Ashanti Regional Manager of the Ghana News Agency.

He was survived by a wife and 19 children. At a thanksgiving at the Krobo Ebenezer Methodist Church on Sunday, the Very Reverend Samuel Asamoah, Superintendent Minister of the Mampong Circuit of the Methodist Church, said Christians should let Christ be their guide in their endeavours.

He said the late chief led an exemplary life and that his death should not divide the family but rather unite it. Mr Kwarteng on behalf of the family praised the church for its assistance during the burial and funeral. 28 Oct 08
