A young woman believed to be about 26 years has committed suicide at Kpong Zongo in the Lower Manya municipality of the Eastern Region today, Saturday May 28, 2016.
The woman, Mawufemor Kisseih, more commonly referred to as Area Mama, was found hanging from a blue rope in her room at 12:59 pm.
Kpong-based KW Radio’s Mario, who broke the news to classfmonline.com, said the exact reason for Area Mama’s decision to take her own life is yet to be established.
Her body has meanwhile been conveyed to the mortuary of the Akuse Government Hospital.
She left behind a child.
