Asante Kotoko assistant coach Prince Owusu says he remains optimistic about the club’s prospects despite a difficult spell marked by injuries and inconsistent results.
Speaking to 3Sports, Owusu admitted the squad has been stretched thin in recent weeks, but insisted there is no disappointment in the team’s overall performance.
“As you said, you know there’s a lot of injuries,” he noted. “The window is going to be open very soon, so we can bring in some new players. But I’m not disappointed.”
Owusu revealed that only one defeat has truly troubled him during this period. “The only game we lost that hurt me was against Holy Stars. The rest, the boys gave a very good performance,” he said.
Kotoko have endured a turbulent run, with several key players sidelined, but Owusu believes the team’s resilience will carry them through.
“We are going through a hell, but we will survive,” he added, signalling confidence ahead of the upcoming transfer window.
The Porcupine Warriors will be hoping reinforcements help steady their campaign as they push to regain momentum in the Ghana Premier League.
