Asante Kotoko have announced significant changes to their squad ahead of today’s highly anticipated Ghana Premier League clash with Medeama SC at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
With injuries and suspensions affecting key players, head coach Karim Zito has been forced to adjust his lineup, handing opportunities to both regulars and emerging talents.
Zackaria Fuseini retains his place in the starting XI for the second consecutive match, once again filling in for the injured Ablorh. Midfielder Joseph Amoah also comes into the side, replacing Patrick Asiedu, who misses the game through injury.
Kotoko will, however, be without influential winger Baba Yahaya, who is suspended after accumulating yellow cards, a notable setback given his recent form.
Up front, Kwame Opoku and Morifing Donzo lead the attack as the Porcupine Warriors aim to bounce back from their recent 2–1 defeat to Basake Holy Stars, their first loss of the season.
The matchday squad also features four promising youth players, Takyi, Boakye, Lawson, and Mohammed Ali, signalling the club’s renewed trust in its academy pipeline.
With both Kotoko and Medeama pushing to climb the league table, today’s encounter promises intensity, high stakes, and a chance for fresh faces to make their mark.
