Kotoko chairman resigns

Kumasi (Ashanti), 26 Nov ’98 The Chairman of Kumasi Asante Kotoko Football Club, Mr E.K. Adu,has resigned from the Board and has informed the Asantehene,Otumfuo Opoku Ware the second, accordingly.

A statement issued by the Manhyia Palace today, said Otumfuo Opoku Ware, who is the life patron of the club, has accepted Mr. Adu’s decision to resign.

Otumfuo Opoku Ware said any other member of the Board who wished to resign in support of Mr. Adu’s decision should feel free to do so.

He thanked Mr. Adu for his services to the club and hoped he will continue to be a firm supporter of the club.
