Kotoko Beat Kwara United in Seven-Goal Thriller

Asante Kotoko secured a narrow 4-3 victory over Kwara United in a pulsating CAF Confederation Cup first-leg clash at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The Porcupine Warriors thrilled home fans with a vibrant attacking display, with Albert Amoah scoring twice, while Emmanuel Antwi and Joseph Ablorh also found the net.

Despite their dominance at times, Kotoko were undone by defensive lapses that allowed the Nigerian side to stay in the tie with three crucial away goals.

The result means Kotoko will need to be at their sharpest in the return leg in Nigeria, where Kwara United will have the advantage of home support and the cushion of their away strikes.

Kotoko coach and players, however, remain optimistic, insisting that their attacking form gives them every chance of advancing if they can tighten up at the back.
