Korle Bu Teaching Hospital receives new beds

The Korle Bu Teaching Hospital on Saturday received 20 beds and 3 wheel chairs worth ten thousand dollars from the Adventist Men Organisation of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.

The donation, according to Pastor Emanuel Dickson Poakwa, Chairman of the Organization was to complement the efforts of government in helping to provide effective health care in the country as part of its better Ghana Agenda.

He noted that the Men Fellowship of the Adventist Church also saw it as a duty to offer assistance to the hospital as part of its social responsibility, urging other organizations and individuals to collaborate more with the hospital to enhance the wellbeing of patients.

Pastor Poakwa said the Organization would continue to support the hospital, adding that the gesture would be extended to other health facilities in future.

Mrs Stella Tagbor, Principal Nursing Officer, receiving the items on behalf of management, expressed appreciation to the Men Fellowship.
