Korle Bu suspends admissions to Surgical Medical Emergency Unit

Accra, Feb. 5, GNA – The Korle Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra has suspended the admission of new patients to the Surgical Medical Emergency (SME) Unit of the Hospital from 12 noon on Thursday, February 5 until 0800 hours on Monday, February 9. A statement signed by Mr Mustapha Salifu, Public Relations Officer of the Hospital, said the action was to enable workers to undertake construction work to expand the patients’ reception bay of the SME. It asked those who require emergency medical services to call at other health facilities. 5 Feb. 09
