Accra, July31, GNA – The Management of Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital (KBTH) has suspended admission of new patients to the Surgical Medical Emergency (SME) Unit from Monday July 31 to Wednesday, August 2. A statement issued in Accra and signed by Mr Mustapha Salifu, Public Relations Officer said the suspension was primarily to decongest the unit that had lately been grappling with high patients beyond its capacity. It asked patients who required emergency medical services to call at other health facilities.
