Korle Bu striking nurses agree to negotiate with management

Accra, April 9, GNA – The Management of Kole Bu Teaching Hospital and the leadership of the striking nurses have agreed to enter into negotiations following an emergency meeting at the weekend.

The Minister of Health Prof. Kweku Danso-Boafo, Deputy Minister of Social Welfare and Employment, Mr Austin Gamey, and Madam Selina Taylor, Acting Chairman of the Kole Bu Management Board and the leadership of the nurses attended the meeting.

A Deputy Minister of Health, Charles Kpabitey and Dr E. N. Mensah, Director General, Health Services also attended. Negotiations are to begin on Monday. Following the new development all striking nurses have been invited to attend an internal meeting in full uniform on Monday at the Addictive Diseases Centre at 07:30 hours.
