Korle-Bu Hospital suspends CT Scan service

Accra, Aug. 24, GNA – The authorities of the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital said on Wednesday that CT scan services to the public would be suspended from August 15 till the end of November 2005.

A statement signed by Mr Mustapha Salifu, Public Relations Officer, said the suspension was to facilitate the installation of a new CT scanner and a Magnetic Resonance Imaging machine.

It said patients who might be required to undergo CT Scanner and Magnetic Resonance Imaging were, therefore, advised to go to other health facilities where the service was available.

The installation of the new machine is scheduled for completion before the end of the year after which the Hospital would be in the position to provide improved diagnostic services to patients and clients.
