Accra, Aug. 19, GNA- Mr Abu Adam, Northern Regional President of Konkomba Development Association, on Tuesday lauded the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) for choosing Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, Deputy Governor of the Bank of Ghana, as running mate to the Party’s flagbearer. “The decision of the National Executive Council of the NPP to endorse Dr Bawumia as running mate to Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has brought honour to Northerners and improved on the chances of the party, to win the forthcoming General Election.” Mr Adam expressed the commendation in a press statement made available to the Ghana News Agency in Accra. He said the nomination of Dr Bawumia would improve on the electoral fortunes of the NPP in the Mamprusi Traditional Area, where he hails from and the Northern Region as a whole. “It is a must for Mamprusi State to vote for NPP,” the statement said.
