Konkomba Development Association air views about NPP running mate debate

Accra, Dec. 18, GNA – The Konkomba Development Association (KODA), has described the views shared by Mr Daniel Bugri Naabu, a founding member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) on who should partner the Flagbearer of the Party “as personal” and should not be taken out of contest.

Responding to a statement by The Mamprusi Youth Association (MAYA) KODA noted that Mr Bugri Naabu’s “ opinion on party issues is personal provided it does not violate the constitution of the NPP.

“He can only do things that will promote and protect the interest of his party and nothing else,” a statement jointly signed by Bagut Alhassan, KODA General Secretary, Fuseini Njirbibu, Northern Regional Chairman of the Association and Thomas Bibanni, Bunkpurugu/ Yunyoo District Co-ordinator and issued in Accra said.

The statement said Mr Bugri Naabu can express his views about a running mate who is marketable and can wrest political power from the ruling National Democratic Congress.

It called on MAYA to initiate moves that would promote unity between Mamprusis and Konkombas so that Mamprugu would remain united as a kingdom.
