Kojo Yankah Resigns

News reaching me from Accra say that, in a rare show of principle, particularly for a Ghanaian politician, Mr. Kojo Yankah has RESIGNED from the Rawlings government. Mr. Yankah was until last week the Regional Minister for the Ashanti Region. He was removed in the latest reshuffle and reassigned as Minister of State at the National Development Planning Commission, a kind of “political Siberia” in Rawlings’ government.
