Kojo Oppong Nkrumah is new Spokesperson for NPP transition team

Former Broadcast Journalist and now Member of Parliament-elect for Ofoase-Ayirebi in the Eastern Region, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah has been appointed as the new Spokesperson for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) side of the Transition Team.

He replaces veteran Journalist and Lecturer, Mustapha Hamid who also doubles as the Spokesperson for President-elect Nana Akufo Addo.

Kasapa FM’s Daakyehene Ofosu Agyeman who’s monitoring the Transition process explained that Kojo Oppong Nkrumah according to officials has been brought in due to the heavy schedule of Mustapha Hamid who will have to move about always with the President-elect.

His apppointment was communicated on Monday, during the Transitional meeting between the incoming NPP government and the outgoing National Democratic Congress (NDC) government at the Accra International Conference Centre.

At today’s meeting of both sides of the Transitional Teams which is currently underway, sub-committees will be set up to discuss core issues bordering on the transition.

Currently, the only remaining handing over notes is that of the Office of the President.
