Koforidua Regional hospital receives ophthalmic equipment

Koforidua, Oct. 12, GNA – Synoptik Company Limited of Denmark, manufacturers of spectacles and contact lenses, in collaboration with Krobo Danish Association, Ghana, have presented ophthalmic equipment valued at GH¢15,000 to the Regional Hospital at Koforidua. The items included three Slate Lamps, eye examining kits, a projector and 1,000 pieces of eyeglass frames. Presenting the items, the leader of the team from Denmark, Ms Mette Printz said the donation was in fulfilment of a promise made by her group last year when members visited the hospital. Receiving the items, the Matron of the Hospital, Ms Linder Ayittey, thanked the donors and assured them that they would be put to good use. She called for closer collaboration between the hospital and the company in Denmark.
