Kofi Jumah: Gov’t is on a mission to collapse Tobinco

Maxwell Kofi Jumah, Former Member of Parliament for Asokwa says government is on a mission to collapse Tobinco Pharmaceuticals Limited.

According to him, it appears government has singled out Tobinco Pharmaceuticals and setting it up as a scapegoat for no apparent reason.

He posited that the government’s agenda is to ensure that the company undergoes “double jeopardy.”

He spoke to Peacefmonline.com in an exclusive interview.

Addressing his point, Kofi Jumah wondered why government would set its eyes on Tobinco Pharmaceuticals after all its attempts to get its drugs registered.

To him, “the government has been creating that perception. It’s clear. It’s obvious that they are after Tobinco…That the government is after Tobinco and that they want to get him and that no matter what, they will find ways to get him.”

Meanwhile, the Chief Executive Officer of Tobinco Pharmaceuticals, Dr. Samuel Amo Tobin, was arrested on Monday by the Nima Police Station for obstructing justice, yet to be known, and later released on a bail of Ghc 1 million.
