The Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Koku Anyidoho, is accusing former Member of Parliament for Asokwa Constituency, Maxwell Kofi Jumah of begging the Attorney-General to intervene in his criminal case in court.
Koku Anyidoho says, “Kofi Jumah is secretly begging the AG to intervene in his court case”.
Kofi Jumah is standing trial for causing damage to a photo album belonging to the Electoral Commission and also resisting lawful arrest.
He was arrested on June 13, 2015 during the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) parliamentary primary at Asokwa.
Linking Kofi Jumah’s alleged criminal conduct to the violence at Talensi, Mr Anyidoho claimed that those involved in such thuggery should be dealt with by the law like Hon. Kofi Jumah; adding, “I advised him [Jumah] but he did not take it”.
He said persons involved in violence should not be entertained and must be brought to book.
The NDC Deputy scribe said unity, hard work and God won the seat for the NDC.
He said the NPP brought their strategy for the 2016 election to Talensi and lost, claiming that, it is an indication that the party has lost the 2016 elections in advance.
