Kumasi, March 27, GNA – Mr Maxwell Kofi Jumah, Member of Parliament (MP) for Asokwa, has repeated the call on Ghanaians to be tolerant of divergent views for the sustenance of peace and enhanced democracy in the country.
He said the citizenry should not let their ideological and political differences divide them, adding that the nation had come a long way in consolidating its democracy.
Mr Jumah, the immediate past Kumasi Metropolitan Chief Executive, made the call in a speech read on his behalf at the inauguration of a 20-seater water closet toilet facility he had constructed for Asokwa Old town in his constituency at the weekend.
The facility was funded at the cost of 210 million cedis from the MP’s share of the common fund.
Mr Jumah cautioned the residents to take good care of the facility adding that they should develop good maintenance culture. He promised to initiate and also be supportive of measures to enhance sanitation in the constituency.
