Kofi Adams was drinking beer on election day – A Plus

Kwame Asare Obeng (A-Plus) is alleging that he saw National Organizer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC)Kofi Adams drinking beer at a bar on Spintex Road on election day.

He said while others busily preparing for the exercise he was caught drinking beer indicating that he had warned the party about him but no one heeded.

“I told you guys this man is a fool you didn’t believe me. Kofi Adamu? He’s the only person whose mother died twice. Ask Rawlings if I’m lying’’.

His comments were in reaction to a suit filed against Network Broadcasting Limited, operators of Accra-based Radio Gold and four members of the party jointly and severally for making defamatory comments against him as far as the party’s 2016 electioneering was concerned.

The four, all belonging to a group called Action Movement include Kodzo Keglo Hamenya, Okaikoi North Constituency Secretary of the NDC; Emmanuel Ashaley Tetteh, Communications Officer, Klottey Korle Constituency of the NDC; Stephen Afutu Neequaye, Communications Officer, Okaikoi Central Constituency of the NDC and James Deku, alias Agbee of West Legon.

At a press conference carried live on Radio Gold in March, they described Mr Adams as a “useless National Organiser and Campaign Coordinator” who, together with other party stalwarts caused the NDC’s defeat in the 2016 elections.

“All Kofi Adams knows is to steal money and cars and disrespect everybody,” the group said, adding: “Our party must investigate Stan Dogbe, Dr Opuni, Omane Boamah, Felix Ofosu Kwakye and Kofi Adams. The campaign money that they have hidden must be collected from them immediately.”
