Kumasi, April 29, GNA–Members of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) Science Students Association on Saturday, cleaned up the Kumasi Kejetia Lorry Park.
The 300 students spent five hours sweeping access roads, desilting drains and clearing refuse. Nana Pokuaa-Osae Awuku, an executive member of the association, said the exercise was part of activities marking the week-long celebration of the Science Faculty of the university.
She explained that since they have a stake in the lorry park, the students decided to contribute their quota towards its cleanliness and gave the assurance that the exercise would be a regular affair.
