KNUST Police arrest armed robber

The Kwame Nkrumah of Science and Technology (KNUST) District Police Command has arrested Mallam Suleman alias Romeo an Ex-convict who was among a group of four (4) armed robbers that attacked and robbed some students at a hostel at Ayeduase a suburb of Kumasi.

The Ashanti Regional Police Commander DCOP Ken Yeboah briefing the media said two patrol teams swiftly moved to the area and arrested the said suspect.

The other three (3) accomplices whose names were given as Abass, Akwasi and Kolo however managed to escape. The Command has since launched a manhunt to get them arrested.

DCOP Ken Yeboah said an immediate search conducted on suspect Mall0am Sulemana revealed one (1) locally manufactured pistol, five (5) BB live cartridges, two (2) Nokia mobile phones, one (1) lady’s wrist watch, a radio speaker, one (1) spent cartridge fired at the scene and cash sum of fifty two Ghana Cedis (GHC 52.00).

Suspect Mallam Suleman admitted to the crime and mentioned the above named persons as his accomplices.

He is currently in custody assisting investigations.
