KNUST honours engineer for improving Kumasi roads

The Kumasi Metro Roads Engineer, Ing Nana Poku Agyeman, has been honoured for his immense contribution to the improvement of road infrastructure and at the campus of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.

The University, which honoured him, also lauded his invaluable contribution that has led to the improvement of roads within the Kumasi metropolis.

A citation presented to him at the University’s 50th congregation acknowledged Ing Agyeman’s role in the construction of a pedestrian overhead footbridge at the KNUST junction, which led to the ease of vehicular traffic in the area.

The construction of the disability-friendly footbridge, which took just nine months to complete, was based on the recommendation of Ing Agyeman.

According to the University, the improvements of roads within the campus has helped in the management of traffic flow and contributed to better the fortunes of the University.

Ing Agyeman, who is an alumni of the University, has over a decade experience in highway and transportation in Ghana, as well as a vast experience in urban roads management, transportation, planning, traffic management and road safety.

He told TV3 he was humbled by the recognition of his work both in the metropolis and on the University campus Benjamin Aidoo|3news.com|Ghana
