KNUST elects new SRC President

Kumasi, Nov.3, GNA – Mr David Asante Boateng, a third-year student of the College of Art and Social Sciences was on Monday elected President of the Students Representative Council (SRC) of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Kumasi. Miss Dorcas Ayirakwa, a law student was elected Secretary and Miss Francisca Kusi Appiah, also a law student elected the Treasurer. Mr Enoch Ofosu Appiah, the Electoral officer, commended the students for the peaceful elections but expressed concern about the low turnout.

Elections for the public relations officer, welfare chairperson, electoral commissioner and transport officer were rescheduled after elections at the various halls because representatives from the halls would contest these positions.
