KNUST, Al Fateh University on exchange programme

Tripoli, Sept. 5, GNA – The Al Fateh University in Tripoli, Libya on Monday agreed in principle to collaborate with the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi in the field of science and other related subjects.
On the strength of this, KNUST presented its detailed proposal to the Vice Chancellor (VC) of Al Fateh University, Professor Salah M, Azwai for study and approval.
To the same token, Chairman of KNUST Council,Nana Otuo Serebuo, and the in-coming VC, Professor Akwasi Kwafo Adarkwa have signed their outfit’s part of the agreement, which was witnessed by Ghana”s Ambassador to Libya, Mr Kodjo Asimeng Wadde Staff and student exchange as well as joint research formed an integral part of the programme, which is expected to begin next year, Professor Azwai, who received the proposal from Professor Adarkwa on behalf of Al Fateh University, lauded KNUST for the initiative and hoped that the programme would be of mutual benefit to both Universities, Al Fateh University is science biased and the largest among the 13 state-owned universities in Libya with a student population of 70,000 including 35,000 female students.
